Our stay was absolutely memorable, with stunning views and plenty of winter activities. The rooms were enjoyable but could use some updates. The dining options were delightful, especially the hearty lunches at the remote cabin. The service was mostly friendly, but it felt a bit lacking during late hours. Overall, a great experience, especially for outdoor lovers.

Rooms

The room we stayed in had a balcony with a breathtaking view of the mountains, but I did notice some signs of wear and tear, like visible water damage on the ceiling.
Service

While most staff were friendly and helpful, particularly the bellman and staff at the cabin, service was a bit off after 10 PM.

The location is absolutely beautiful, with peaceful surroundings and plenty of picturesque spots to explore, although it might be tricky to get to during snowy weather.

Dining was quite satisfactory, with delicious options available, though I felt some dishes could be heartier than what we experienced.

Our stay had some ups and downs. On the positive side, the scenery was stunning, and I really enjoyed the casual vibes of the property. However, I was disappointed with the housekeeping and restaurant service. Overall, it was a nice stay, but there are areas for improvement.

Rooms

The room was nice and spacious, with a lovely view of the valley, but it felt a bit outdated and could definitely use a refresh.

Service was inconsistent; while the wait staff in the restaurant was great, the overall experience felt lacking with some details overlooked.
Location

The property is beautiful with lots of natural charm, offering plenty of spots to explore, making it a great choice for nature lovers.
Dining
5.0
Dining was a mixed bag; while breakfast options were enjoyable, dinner didn’t meet our expectations and felt overpriced for the quality.
Facilities

The facilities included a scenic hot tub experience, though it required a trek across the street in cold weather, which might not be for everyone.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Trapp Family Lodge! The beautiful and peaceful surroundings created the perfect atmosphere for our stay, and the activities offered kept us engaged throughout. The rooms could use a bit of an update, but the charm of the lodge more than made up for it. The service was mostly great, though there were a few minor lapses. Overall, we loved our time there, especially for fellow Sound of Music fans.

The hotel is a charming spot with breathtaking mountain views and a cozy atmosphere. Although the rooms are spacious, they could use some updating, and the pricing feels a bit high for what’s offered. The pool and hot tub facilities are fantastic, especially with the outdoor views, but the dining options could be more extensive. Overall, it's a perfect place for a daytime visit or if you're looking for relaxation amid nature.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms are old-fashioned but spacious, though they could definitely benefit from an update. They were clean and comfortable, which is a plus.

The shuttle service was efficient and took us to dinner, adding to the overall experience, but I found myself wishing it ran later into the night.
Location

The hotel is located in a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains, making it a serene spot for any type of vacation. However, access may be tricky in the winter months.
Dining

Our stay at the Trapp Family Lodge had both good and not-so-great moments. The spacious room was a definite highlight, perfect for our pet. However, we faced several issues, such as the pool being closed and the late check-in time. While the property’s rustic charm is appealing and the surrounding views are breathtaking, the pricing felt steep for what was offered, especially since a few amenities were lacking.

Rooms
8.0
Our room was spacious and maintained in good condition, featuring an old-style charm and a lovely balcony view of the colorful mountains.
Service
5.0
Service could use improvement; we faced delays at check-in and encountered issues with our belongings that left us disappointed.
Location
9.0
The lodge is beautifully situated amidst stunning mountain landscapes, making it a peaceful escape from the town.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast buffet offered decent choices, though the lack of dining options for pets felt a bit restrictive.
Facilities
5.0
Many facilities were not available or delayed during our stay, leaving us looking for alternatives like the town pool.
